William Roper

William Roper is pleased to be an NJIO Intern for the 2016-2017 season.  He studying music education, conducting and viola.  He began playing violin when he was 3 years old, switching to viola in middle school.  He played viola in the Swinging Strings Jazz Ensemble and the Orchestra at New Providence High School.  He was also a four year member of the Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Marching Bands. He enjoys playing the saxophone, bass, and mandolin.  When he is not playing an instrument, he sings with Harmonium Choral Society, and is learning to repair and tune pianos.
