Joe Gluck

 

 

 

Joe Gluck is NJIO's Music Director and Conductor. Joe was formerly a first violinist with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. He is currently concertmaster with the Summit Symphony and the Summit Chorale Orchestra.

Joe founded the Stirling String Quartet, The Stirling Duo and the Stirling Chamber Orchestra, which he also conducts. He has coached the New Jersey Youth Symphony since 1979 and the Ethical Cultural Amateur Chamber Music Workshop since 1990, which he founded and where he is currently the Music Director.

Joe has taught violin for more than 30 years and lectured extensively throughout the state, including leading the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra’s Classical Conversations series. He also played with the Detroit Symphony and the St. Louis Symphony.

Joe Gluck has been associated with the NJIO since its inception, appearing as soloist and serving as advisor. He is presently on NJIO Board of Trustees.
