The Outreach
Program brings small groups of NJIO members to senior citizen centers,
nursing homes and special community events.
Performances
are generally scheduled weekdays in the late afternoon or evening
hours, and also on weekends.
Outreach groups range in size from 4 to 20 members depending on the
event and the sponsor's requirements. The repertoire is light
classical.

NJIO
has received a message of thanks for Outreach’s performance at the Caregivers’ Conference at Union County College.
The Alzheimer’s Association, in addition, gave a very nice
donation to NJIO. The following note was addressed to
NJIO’s president, Len Avdey:
The Alzheimer’s
Association in collaboration with Union County Division on Aging, Essex
County Division on Aging and Union County College would like to thank
you for your help in making the Caregiver program a success.
The Orchestra’s
performance was a true gift and was very well received by those in
attendance. Thank you again for giving your time. We are
gracious for your support of our mission.
